A question to all of the music lovers….Are you looking for a great music for your car? Here are some tips that would help you choose the perfect car stereo amplifiers.
- First criteria for selection should be power. The amplifiers have two levels, Root Mean Square (RMS) and Peak Power both measured in watts. Normally peak power is double the RMS. Make sure that the power rating of your car speakers match that of amplifiers to avoid damage.
- Another important criterion is the channel. The more the number of channels more speakers can be installed. There are three types:
Single-channel powers a single speaker.
Two-channel powers two speakers and a subwoofer.
Four-channel powers up to four speakers and two subwoofers.
- Heat is another vital decisive factor for stereo amplifiers. Heatsinks are deliberated to suck up heat produced by the car. While buying amplifiers select those having heatsinks in their design.
- Last is the preamp. If you are intending to mount more than one amplifier than you need to connect these amplifiers internally. Preamp allows you to do that. It passes signal from one amp to another.
