LG Electronics confirmed reaching an agreement with the Volkswagen in order to integrate LG technologies in three of the major brands of the automaker starting in 2012. The deal with the Volkswagen Group of Wolfsburg would make LG the leading suppliers of car audio system for the automobile giant. Volkswagen is ranked third in the manufacture of automobile in the whole world and is the largest in Europe.
The deal between the two parties was sealed at approximately $370 million. LG will supply their audio systems to three different brands which are under the group namely the Volkswagen in Germany, Seat in Spain and Skoda in the Czech Republic. Who knew that the collaboration of the two companies in 2005 would result in this significant deal? It also implies that the name of LG Electronics will now shine in providing car infotainment solutions. LG’s car audio system are known to display information from the different control units that are present in the vehicle and provide reports on the condition of various components like antenna, speakers and some other peripheral devices.
With LG’s system, the users can connect very easily to any external media. The TFT LCD technology of the company ensures clear images and an enhanced radio reception. BB Hwang who is the CEO of the Business Solution Company was very excited at the opportunity of working with the automobile giant and also hinted at a diverse product line which LG Electronics would unveil in near future.
