BMW and RadioTime reveals first in-car web radio

BMW has become the first car manufacturer to have the unique feature that would allow the users to get an access to web radio stations with the help of an iPhone 3G connection. The feature was unveiled recently by BMW and RadioTime. RadioTime which has been in operation since 2002 is a renowned radio tuner manufacturer.

The web radio service of RadioTime has been integrated into MINI connected option. With the help of a USB interface allows you to integrate your Apple iPhone with the audio system of your car. With this new feature, users would be able to use the RadioTime directory and use the Internet connection of their iPhone to listen to thousands of songs on the radio stations worldwide.

Drivers of the MINI by using MINI Connected can have access to web stations across the world irrespective of their location and all they need to worry about is the network coverage and the internet connection. You can use the audio and infotainment system of the car to choose the desired station.

According to the CEO of RadioTime, Bill Moore, it would be now much easier to tune to web radio by using the MINI Joystick and it will also open the vast world of music, sports, talk, news and entertainment that web radio has to offer. He also added that radio has always been loved by the drivers as it does not require any registration and is absolutely free.
